  • Ph.D. student Ms. Ayesha Nanda (Ph.D. Supervisor: Prof. Sudeep Bhattacharjee) has received the BEST ORAL AWARD in the 8th Plasma Scholars Colloquium (PSC- 2020) held online during 8th and 9th October 2020 organised by Plasma Science Order of Republic of india (PSSI) in clan with KIIT, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The title of the oral talk was "ELECTRICAL Conductivity OF A PLASMA Confined IN A DIPOLE MAGNETIC FIELD: SYSTEMATIC EXPERIMENTS AND THEORY".

  • Ph.D. student Ms. Jayashree Majumdar (Ph.D. supervisor: Prof. Sudeep Bhattacharjee) has received the Plasma Science Guild of India (PSSI) Affiche Honor in the 34TH NATIONAL SYMPOSIUM ON PLASMA Scientific discipline & Technology (PLASMA-2019) organized by PSSI at VIT, Chennai, from third-sixth December 2019. The award carries a cash component of Rs. 5000/- and a document of merit. The title of the poster was "FIELD EMISSION PROPERTIES OF ATOMICALLY HETEROGENEOUS METALLIC NANOSTRUCTURES CREATED BY MICROWAVE PLASMA GENERATED Depression ENERGY ION BEAMS".

Bose Prize for Innovation in Method" for a poster presentation titled, "Magnetic reversal through vortex nucleation in a single magnetic nano-particle probed using Nb micro-SQUIDs in hysteresis free fashion" at a briefing "National Conference briefing in electron spectroscopy-2019" held in SNBNCBS, Kolkata during 26-29 Nov 2019.

  • Dr. Saurabh Mani Tripathi, has been awarded the IPA Due south. N. Seshadri Memorial Instrumentation Award in Physical Sciences – 2018 conferred by the Indian Physics Association. The honor is given in recognition of Dr. Tripathi's outstanding piece of work related to development of a novel fiber-optic based bio-sensor to discover E. Coli bacteria in water over a broad temperature range.
