Ph.D. student Ms. Ayesha Nanda (Ph.D. Supervisor: Prof. Sudeep Bhattacharjee) has received the BEST ORAL AWARD in the 8th Plasma Scholars Colloquium (PSC- 2020) held online during 8th and 9th October 2020 organised by Plasma Science Order of Republic of india (PSSI) in clan with KIIT, Bhubaneswar, Odisha. The title of the oral talk was "ELECTRICAL Conductivity OF A PLASMA Confined IN A DIPOLE MAGNETIC FIELD: SYSTEMATIC EXPERIMENTS AND THEORY".

The award carries a cash component of Rs. 5000/- and a document of merit. Dr. Saurabh Mani Tripathi, has been awarded the IPA Due south. N. Seshadri Memorial Instrumentation Award in Physical Sciences – 2018 conferred by the Indian Physics Association. The honor is given in recognition of Dr. Tripathi's outstanding piece of work related to development of a novel fiber-optic based bio-sensor to discover E. Coli bacteria in water over a broad temperature range.
